Professor Emeritus Geoffrey de Q Walker
was Dean and head of the T C Beirne School of Law at the University
of Queensland from 1988 to 1996. He has degrees in law from the
University of Sydney and the University of Pennsylvania where
he completed his doctorate in 1966. He has published many books
and papers; of particular importance is his The Rule of Law,
published by MUP in 1988. In 1966 he returned to the bar where
he practises in constitutional law and trade practices.
Professor Phil Lewis is
Professor of Economics and Head of the School of Business at the
University of Canberra and the Canberra Director of the Centre
for Labour Market Research, a consortium of the University of
Canberra and three universities in Perth. The Centre has a record
of over 18 years of research in all aspects of labour market analysis.
Phil is among the best-known economists in the area of employment,
education and training in Australia. He is the author of over
80 books, book chapters and journal articles. Apart from a distinguished
academic career he has worked in government and has produced a
number of major reports for the private and public sectors. He
is also the National President of The Economic Society of Australia.
Ray Evans is a consultant
and President of the HR Nicholls Society.
Adam Bisits is a solicitor
who has worked in Sydney with Blake Dawson Waldron for most of
his professional career. He has specialised in the power and transport
industries and is now Chairman of the Advocacy Panel of the National
Electricity Code. He has recently joined the Board of the H R
Nicholls Society.
Bruce Williams majored
in economics and psychology at the University of WA and is now
Divisional Director, Employee Relations at Chamber of Commerce
and Industry, Western Australia. He was heavily involved in the
Kierath reforms implemented by the WA Court Government and he
has led the employer opposition to the repeal of those reforms
by the Gallop Government.

Executive Officer of Master Builders Australia (MBA).
